Dear Butler Veterinary Services, PLLC Clients,

It has come to our attention that the microchip registry, Save This Life, was shut down on January 24, 2025. This means if this is the company your pet was registered with, your pet’s information is no longer stored on a registry. This is the company we have used for all microchips in our clinic. We are recommending you re-register with another company. Some companies are free, and some require a registration fee.

AKCReunite.org

You DO NOT need a new microchip. You can use any of the above links to re-register the chip with a new company.

If your pet had a microchip prior to coming to BVS, you can look up your pet using your 15-digit ID to see what company with which your pet has been registered by going to https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/.

If you need your pet’s ID number, please email info@butlervetservices.com so we can provide to this 15-digit number. We will need you to provide your name and your pet’s name for us to provide this information. Please be patient with our responses as we have hundreds of clients that have been registered through Save This Life.
